Directions to the Bull Run Trailhead at Centerville Road

The Bull Run Trail has several places to join it but one of the easiest to get to is from Centerville Road (Route 28)
Directions: Take I-66 west from the beltway to exit 53--Route 28, Centerville Road. Go south toward Centerville and Manassas(not toward Dulles Airport). Go south on Route 28 (Centerville Road), past Route 29, toward Manassas for two or three miles. Just after you pass Compton Road (there is a signal there) and before you cross the Bull Run, turn off Centerville road on the right and park in the small parking lot on the bluff above the river. (If you cross Bull Run or enter Prince William County, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back.) From this trailhead, you can run upstream to Bull Run Regional Park or downstream toward Hemlock Overlook. Centerville Road is the first (and second) aid station at the Bull Run Run.
