VHTRC Membership Privacy Statement

Here is what we do with the information you give us when you join the club.

Information that will be Public: Your name, city, state (but not your street address), and the month and day (but not the year) of your birth will be on a public page on this site. Currently, we do not display your e-mail address publicly but we may set up a system where someone can send you an e-mail through the server without knowing your e-mail address.

Information that will not be Public: Your street address, e-mail address, telephone numbers, and year of your birth will not be made public. That information will, however, be available on a password-protected page on this site. All VHTRC members will have the password to this page and may view the data. We are not anal about this password. A determined hacker could get into the page with home addresses easily.

Information that will be sent to the RRCA: We will send to the RRCA your name and address. We will resist sending stuff that the RRCA asks for, but doesn't demand like birth dates, etc. We don't know if the RRCA sells your name and address. It may. The RRCA also uses your address to send you the magazine Footnotes.

Data Given to PayPal: During the payment process you will enter credit card data on Payal. The VHTRC does not have access to this information. Consult the PayPal privacy policy for its use of this information.
