Everyone wants to see what you look like. But if you really want to upload a picture of your cat, we probably won't delete it. We do, however, reserve the right to delete inappropriate pictures.
This process will resize your image to 110 pixels wide by 130 pixels high. It should be in jpeg format. Some suggestions:
- For the most control over your photo, resize it yourself. If you upload a 110x130 picture, it will not be altered.
- Your image should be a close up. Distance shots of you running, will not look good.
- Your silhouette should fill the image. If it doesn't, you can crop it ahead of time.
- If you don't like your image, you can try again. The second attempt will overwrite the first.
- There is a file size limitation of 8 MB for your upload. If you upload a file larger than 8 MB, it won't work and the error message may give the wrong reason. If your file is under 8 MB it is fine to upload it even if it is big. Your original file is not stored on the server after the thumbnail is made.
- In testing, we have run into cache issues. When you upload your picture, the next screen will show it to you. If you just uploaded another picture before, you may see that one, not the new one. Be sure to reload the page before you panic.
- Previous photos: We used to bring over photos for those who ran before and had one. Some of those photos are old and crappy. So we are starting from scratch. If you uploaded a photo in prior years, it isn't here now.
